Venture »
Venture is a one-week outdoor/camping program intended for our youth, ages 13-14 years. This adventure experience is designed to challenge the participant‘s physically capacity, develop leadership skills and reinforce personal resiliences.
Venture has been created in partnership with Outward Bound Canada and reinforces the philosophy, traditions and values of our faith in a safe and nurturing environment. The program will also provide participants with a memorable adventure
experience that promotes personal growth, community development and respect for the natural environment.
The academic component of the curriculum is developed and implemented by a STEP teacher and caters specifically to the physical, behavioural, cognitive and emotional growth of this age group.
A new program highlight of the Ontario Program is the urban component. Participants will begin and their experience at Outward Bound Canada‘s Evergreen Brick Works location in Toronto where they will take part in team building initiatives
and activities. From there the group will head north to the Leslie Frost campsite, one of Ontario‘s most beautiful canoe camping areas, where they will set up their base camp and participate in a number of fun and challenging activities.
Participants will celebrate the end of the program in Toronto where they will climb Outward Bound Canada‘s 60 foot High Ropes Course Challenge Tower.
