Horizons al-Ummah »
Inspired for Life!
The curriculum is designed to address the needs of our Ismaili youth and to keep them engaged in our faith and community. The academic curriculum is developed and presented by the Academic Director and Guest Speakers. All speakers are well-versed in our religious education material and are gifted in transferring the material to participants using group-based experiential learning activities. Trained counselors are also instrumental in facilitating the sessions and bringing the material to life.
Curriculum activities include topics such as:
- The Aga Khan Development Network
- Ethics and Controversial issues within Society
- Diversity and Pluralism
- Devotional Expressions
- Identity and Gender within Islam
Non-academic components include:
- Sports and Water activities
- Arts and Crafts
- Icebreakers and Campfires
- Talent and Dance Show Night
- Cultural Activities
